Newsletter - January 2014
Welcome to our first newsletter of this rather wet year! We have a busy schedule of Events in 2014 and exciting new plants for sale.
Roses - Our new stock, all grown in East Anglia, is due in from next week. If you let us know of any roses you particularly want by this Sunday, 2 February, we can make sure they are put on the order.
Trees - We have just had another delivery of our first class trees – all our large 15 litre trees are grown in England especially for us. Please do not hesitate to ask for advice if you want help choosing a tree.
Hedging - We hold some stock in our bare root bed and can obtain more within a couple of days. Quotes are available, as are suggestions (please ask for a list at the nursery). We would advise planting as soon as the weather allows.
As a business, our aim is to focus on offering for sale an extensive range of top quality, British-grown plants at reasonable prices. We do not strive to compete with cheap, low quality mail order, often soft-grown plugs (tender, very small plants). When comparing prices on the internet it is worth bearing size and quality in mind.
All of us at The Place for Plants wish you an enjoyable gardening year and thank you for your continued support. We look forward to seeing you soon.
With best wishes
from Rupert, Sara and all at The Place for Plants
Rupert’s annual Snowdrop Walk will be held at 9.30am on Thursday 13 February. Enjoy the other winter flowering plants as well, at a time of year when the garden is normally closed. Advance booking required, £12 including tea/coffee, or £10 for RHS members.
